What do our volunteers do?
Transportation
Volunteers are needed to transport our pups from San Diego to Los Angeles, Orange County to Los Angeles, and San Diego to Orange County once they are rescued! You must have reliable transportation and be willing to commit to communicating directly with your liasons to transport our pups.
Rehabilitation
All volunteers applying to assist in the rehabilitation of some of our more medically impaired animals must have one year prior experience working at another rescue, shelter, or veterinary clinic. These volunteers help administer vaccines, coordinate medications, and communicate with liasons as needed.
Adoptions
Adoption volunteers assist at our adoption events with scheduling, coordinating vaccine times, and ensuring that our checklist process runs smoothly. Qualified volunteers also assist in obtaining home check videos and contacting potential adopters.
Social Media
Volunteer photographers help us create comprehensive profiles for each of our dogs on AdoptaPet. Media volunteers help collect photos of adoptables and alumni as well as coordinate the rescue social media.
Errand Runners
If you have free time and live in the Los Angeles or Orange County area, we utilize errand-running volunteers to drop off supplies and medications, if needed, at our fosters' locations. You get to see some cute puppies and do some quick philanthropy!
